An archive of photographic series and paintings — two bodies of work that sit some distance apart in time, medium, and temperament, but belong to the same hand. The photographs are quiet, made indoors or at the threshold where inside meets outside, attentive to light, to time, and to the conditions under which ordinary life takes place. The paintings are more declarative: fields of colour, gestural and weathered abstraction, a few private figurative works. Neither body explains itself; the viewer is left to do the work of attention.
