A record whose second track plays only with its key
A record made on Zariia is one file with two tracks in it, and only one of them plays for everyone.
The Zariia simulator, a page I built, makes such a record. You give it one track anyone can hear and a second that will be locked, then pick a class, which says what the second is to the first: the counter-voice, the reply, the refusal or the score, among others. The page saves both into one FLAC file, a lossless audio format. The open track plays in an ordinary music player and sounds complete. The locked track is encrypted inside the same file, and in Zariia’s player it plays in sync with the open one once someone enters the record’s key.
The key is twenty-four words, made for that record alone and shown once. Nothing keeps a copy. Both tracks stay in your browser and nothing is uploaded, so Zariia does not know that a record was made. The locked track is also tied to its open track: copied onto another file, it will not open. Anyone who looks inside the file can see that a second track is there. Only the key lets them hear it.
None of this is a new arrangement. People have always said one thing openly and kept another for those who were there. The simulator writes that into a file, and the key goes from one person to the next, with no server holding it.
The three parts of a record come from the record syntax on SYNTAX, and the Make the record button stays greyed out until all three are filled.
Make a record from two tracks of your own, and say its key to one person who should hear both.
