Matbhed
In 2023 Jaskaran Singh and I designed a board game for Conflictorium in Ahmedabad, and from today anyone can print it.
It is called Matbhed (મતભેદ, मतभेद), and it is about Article 25 of the Constitution, the freedom of religion.
The board is a maze. Land on a coloured box and you draw a card with a situation on it, such as: “A boy is stopped from buying a coconut for his religious prayers, can he claim protection under Article 25 of the Constitution?”
One player, or all the players together, act as Judge and score each answer from 1 to 7. Any player can spend an objection token to challenge an answer and take its points.
There are 53 cards, in English and Gujarati. I had every card checked first. The English needed 23 corrections. In the Gujarati, among other fixes, one letter had printed as an empty box, and one card ended with words from the next card.
Everything is under CC BY 4.0, the same licence the 2023 rule booklet carried.
The card texts are plain text files, so anyone who types up a Hindi or Marathi set can build it with one command.
